The Imagine Hillsboro 2035 effort builds on the success of the award-winning Hillsboro 2020 Vision and Action Plan, the original community plan for the future of Hillsboro.

To learn more about the Vision Plan, visit or call the City of Hillsboro at (503) 681-6219. Ideas collected from community members through June of 2014 will be reviewed by citizen work groups, who will craft language for the Hillsboro 2035 plan scheduled for completion by 2015. “We are excited to hear from community members, particularly new residents and those that work here, on what their vision is for the future of Hillsboro and what specific things they’d like to see in our community,” said Ted Vacek, Chair of the Hillsboro 2035 Task Force. In addition, a citizen-led task force will conduct “community conversations” to collect input through focus groups. The public can also send a text message with their ideas to (971) 205-1005, or fill out an “idea card” and drop it at a number of idea box locations throughout Hillsboro, including the Main Library, Shute Park Aquatic Recreation Center (SHARC), Whole Foods Market in Tanasbourne, Insomnia Coffee locations, New Seasons in Orenco Station, M&M Swap Meet, Reedville Café, and more. The forum allows users to read and support ideas from others, post pictures, documents and other materials. Community members can go to to learn more about the project and register to post an idea in a new online public forum. Input collected over the next eight months will be used to renew the Hillsboro 2020 Vision and create a new community plan that extends to the year 2035.Īn outreach effort entitled, “Imagine Hillsboro 2035!” is designed to give a range of options for contributing comments and ideas. We’ll make it a little less so.The City of Hillsboro and the Hillsboro 2035 Task Force encourage community members to submit ideas that will help shape Hillsboro’s future. When a pet is truly family, emergencies are scary. But most importantly, it shows up in the patient outcomes. In the way we provide truly individualized care. We believe in making quality emergency care accessible to as many pets as we can. Our vision is simple: to push the standards of emergency veterinary medicine even higher, while making access to care as affordable as possible. And when you bring your pet to us, we all work together, collaborate, and push for a single reason: to give them the kind of emergency care we would want for our own pets. We are constantly teaching, learning, and growing so that our team gets better every day. One who lives and breathes emergency care. Here, you will find a special group of people. And it’s one that has to be rooted in people. Creating higher standards of emergency veterinary care is an audacious goal.
